We at CarChat24 wish to offer a sincere congratulations to Automotive and Racing Legend Roger Penske, who clamed his first NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship title after 40 years of competition as an owner at the hands of hot young racer, Brad Keselowski. The title is also the first for the Dodge brand in nearly 30 years.

Keselowski, a Rochester Hills, Mich. Native, finished 15th in Nascar’s final race last weekend in Homestead, Fla. He entered the race with a slight lead over 5-time Cup champion, Jimmy Johnson, who finished several laps down.

As a race owner, Penske had won 12 Indy Car championships, as well as 15 visits to victory lane in the famed Indianapolis 500, as well as a substantial number of wins in NASCAR and sports car series competition, including American leMans series and the Grand-Am Rolex series, and competition in Formula One as a driver and owner.
While his racing career as a driver and owner is legendary, his business success is even more impressive.

He is the owner of Penske Truck Leasing, Penske Automotive Group (337 dealerships in the U.S. and abroad), as well as an investment company. The Ohio native is 75 and still going strong.
We salute a fellow pioneer in the automotive world and wish he and his teams future success.
